I arrived at Carew Castle more in hope than expectation of capturing a decent sunset. There had been heavy rain for most of the afternoon and there was still blanket cloud cover with just a glimmer of brightness in the direction of the sun. After a short wait the sky began to brighten and colour, I fitted a 0.9 hard graduated neutral density filter to my lens and had sufficient time to capture three compositions before the extremely vivid colour began to fade.
